Description
Dwarf Golden Gypsy originated from a cross between Golden Dwarf Champion and Elbe made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2006 named Tipsy F1. Dwarf Golden Gypsy is a mid-season potato leaf dwarf with heavy yields of medium to large smooth oblate yellow fruit in the 8 – 18oz range. Plants reach about a metre+/ 3-4 ft by end of season. The flesh is pale yellow and the flavour is intense with a refreshing tang, one of the best offerings of new dwarfs from the project. This variety was selected and named by project volunteer Wendy Montanez.
