Description
Tanunda Red originated from a cross between Wilpena and Cherokee Purple in 2008 made by Patrina Nuske Small named Plentiful F1. Tanunda Red is a mid-season rugose regular leaf dwarf with prolific medium-large 6 – 10 oz oblate rich red tomatoes. Plants reach around a metre+ / 3-4 ft by end of season. This variety was grown by a project volunteer, who lives in a town called Tanunda located in a beautiful wine-growing region of the Barossa Valley in South Australia, and was named by Patrina.
