Iditarod Red produces small red fruits in 2-4 oz / 60-120 g range that may have pointy ends in some environments. It is a regular leaf variety.

An F2 selection of Grumpy grown by Richard Allen in Australia was sent to Susan Bailey in Alaska who found and named Iditarod Red. Others who helped Sue with the variety's development were Doug Frank and Ted Maiden.
